Payment & Funding Options

The Office of Professional and Continuing Studies is committed to making our educational opportunities and training accessible and affordable. We offer multiple payment options to meet diverse financial needs, including payment plans for select programs and accepted loan options. In addition, learners may be eligible for financial support that helps reduce the overall cost, including scholarships, exclusive discounts, and workforce funding opportunities. **Below is a summary of payment options for programs offered and run exclusively by the Office of Professional & Continuing Studies at Loyola. Payment options may vary for programs offered in collaboration with one of our trusted learning partners. 

SELF PAY PAYMENT OPTIONS

The Office of Professional & Continuing Studies accepts all of the following forms of payment.

Most programs require full payment at registration. We accept the following methods of payment. 

Credit or debit card. We accept payment online with a Visa or Mastercard debit or credit card. Currently, we do not accept American Express or Discover. 

Check. Payments by check should be made payable to “Loyola Office of Professional & Continuing Studies” and mailed to the following address. Checks must be received and cleared prior to enrollment. Please allow sufficient time for processing.

If your bank voids a payment for insufficient funds, a returned check charge of $25 will be added to your registration fee.

*Tuition and deadlines vary by program. Tuition must be paid in full by the deadline. Please refer to individual program websites for further details.

Select programs offer a payment plan option through our partner, Nelnet Campus Commerce. Follow the prompts at checkout and/or via email to enroll in a payment plan. Registration is not considered complete until the deposit has been paid.

We proudly accept Sallie Mae Career Training Smart Loans as a flexible financing option for registration. These loans are designed specifically for career-focused education and professional training programs, offering competitive interest rates, multiple repayment options, and no prepayment penalties. With a quick, streamlined application process and the ability to cover tuition and related educational expenses, Sallie Mae Career Training Smart Loans make it easier for learners to invest in their future, gain in-demand skills, and move forward in their careers with confidence.

If you plan to apply for a loan, begin your application early to allow adequate processing time.

When paying by loan, please contact our office at pacs@loyno.edu or 504.865.2466 so we are aware and can process your loan and registration.

We may be able to accept other private loans, such as College Ave or others. Please coordinate with your loan provider of choice to ensure program eligibility. Then contact our office at pacs@loyno.edu or 504.865.2466 to discuss next steps.

The Office of Professional & Continuing Studies proudly accepts AmeriCorps Segal Awards. Submit your request with AmeriCorps to use your award at Loyola University New Orleans. Then contact our office at pacs@loyno.edu or 504.865.2466 so we are aware to move forward with processing.

 

The Office of Professional & Continuing Studies accepts payment from employers on behalf of their employees. Employers may pay with a credit card on the registration site or select to be invoiced to pay by check. Registration is not confirmed until payment has been received and cleared. Please allow sufficient time for processing.

WORKFORCE FUNDING GRANTS

The Office of Professional & Continuing Studies is proud to accept workforce funding grants to cover tuition and courseware costs associated with approved training programs.

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) is a federal law that provides funding to help qualified unemployed or underemployed individuals gain the skills, credentials, and training needed to secure and advance in employment in high-demand industries and roles. The United States Department of Labor allocates WIOA funding to each state, and the Louisiana Workforce Commission approves eligible training programs for the Eligible Training Provider List for Louisiana residents. 

Several PACS programs are WIOA-approved for Louisiana residents.

If you are a Louisiana resident, you may be eligible for WIOA funding if you:

  • Are unemployed or underemployed 
  • Have been laid off or are at risk of losing your job
  • Are low-income
  • Are receiving public assistance
  • Are veterans
  • Are youth or young adults facing barriers to employment
  • Need training to transition into a high-demand career field

What are the next steps?

To find out if you qualify for WIOA funding, you may register on the Louisiana Workforce Commission HiRE website. To complete a WIOA application, you will need to visit your local parish workforce office and meet with a career counselor.

The WIOA application and approval process may take more than 1 month. If you think you may be eligible for WIOA funding, we recommend that you start the application process 1-2 months prior to the start of the course. WIOA awards vary per individual application and per parish.

Vocational Rehabilitation, the flagship program of Louisiana Rehabilitation Services, is a one-stop career development program that offers individuals with disabilities a wide range of services designed to provide them with the skills, resources, attitudes, and expectations needed to compete in the interview process, get the job, keep the job, and develop a lifetime career. 

How do I qualify for services?

Eligibility is determined upon an individual with a disability benefiting from vocational rehabilitation services in terms of achieving employment, including supported employment. Therefore, applications for services are accepted at the time an individual with a disability reaches or nears the minimum age of legal employability.

To be eligible for vocational rehabilitation services, the individual must meet each of the following criteria:

  • Have a physical or mental disability which for the individual constitutes or results in a substantial impediment to employment
  • Be able to benefit from vocational rehabilitation services in terms of employment
  • Require vocational rehabilitation services to prepare for, enter, engage in, or retain gainful employment.

The Military Spouse Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) Scholarship is a workforce development program that provides up to $4,000 of tuition assistance (or $2,000 per year) to eligible military spouses.

Who is Eligible?

Spouses of service members on active duty in pay grades E-1 to E-9, W-1 to W-2 and O-1 to O-3 who have successfully completed high school and have the ability to request tuition assistance while their military sponsor is on Title 10 military orders are eligible. Spouses married to members of the National Guard and reserves in these same pay grades are eligible.

The Office of Professional & Continuing Studies proudly offers the following discounts and scholarship opportunities for our learners.

The following individuals are eligible for a tuition discount for most PACS courses and programs. Please email pacs@loyno.edu or call 504.865.2466 for more information.

  • Loyola University New Orleans alumni
  • Students currently enrolled at Loyola University New Orleans
  • Loyola University New Orleans faculty and staff
  • Loyola University New Orleans faculty or staff spouse or dependents
  • Active duty or retired military 
  • City of New Orleans employees

A qualifying ID or verification must be emailed to pacs@loyno.edu to receive the discount.

Corporate Discounts: Contact us to see how your company can set up a corporate discount. Email pacs@loyno.edu or call 504.865.2466 for more information.

*Discounts cannot be bundled or used in addition to a scholarship.

Select programs/courses have scholarship opportunities available. Application and award of all scholarships must occur prior to registration for a program or course. Scholarships will not be awarded retroactively. Upon receiving a scholarship award, instructions will be provided for registration.

Below is an overview of the scholarships that may be available. Scholarships are dependent on availability and grant funding. Scholarships may not be available at all times. Please refer to individual course/program websites for updated information on availability and the application process.

LaNasa Memorial Scholarship

The purpose of the LaNasa Memorial Scholarship is to promote excellence in the fields of study available for adult learners by offering incentives to talented individuals. This scholarship is a partial scholarship. Any remaining tuition balance and course materials will be the responsibility of the recipient.

  • Adult learners seeking career enhancement via certification or other professional programs. 

New Orleans Tourism and Cultural Fund (NOTCF) Scholarship

Due to generous support from the New Orleans Tourism and Cultural Fund, The Office of Professional and Continuing Studies is proud to offer scholarships for our Professional Tour Guiding classes. The mission of the New Orleans Tourism and Cultural Foundation (NOTCF) is to support cultural industries and culture bearers of the City of New Orleans through partnerships, grants, and programs to advance sustainable tourism.

  • Current or aspiring New Orleans culture bearers

*These scholarships are based on grant funding and may not be available for all offerings year-round. Please refer to the course websites for updated information on availability and the application process. 

Cox Communications and New Orleans City Council Scholarship

The Office of Professional and Continuing Studies has been awarded grant funding from the New Orleans City Council and Cox Communications Louisiana's Community Grant Program in support of Young Women’s Leadership Academy. This scholarship supports building a YWLA cohort of participants from diverse racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, educational, and professional backgrounds.

  • Aspiring leaders ages 18-25 interested in growing their leadership potential

Women United WLA Scholarship

Thanks to generous support from Women United - United Way of Southeast Louisiana, PACS offers scholarships for ALICE-qualifying individuals to participate in our Women’s Leadership Academy (WLA). Women United supports the unique health and human service needs of women and children in Southeast Louisiana. Defined by the United Way ALICE Report for Louisiana, ALICE is an acronym for the Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. More information on ALICE is available here. Scholarship applications open with the WLA cohort applications; scholarship awards are approved as funds are available.

Eligibility: 

  • ALICE qualified mid to senior level leaders (income verification required)
  • Motivated to reflect and improve upon personal leadership skills to become more effective and impactful.
  • Committed to driving innovation and transformation within their organizations and region.
