CEO/Founder, The Etiquette Trainer by Salazar Consulting
Summer Salazar is a nationally recognized etiquette consultant and workforce readiness expert
whose career spans 20 years in higher education, employer engagement, and professional
development. As the former inaugural Director of Employer Engagement at The University of
Texas at Austin, she led strategic partnerships with organizations across industries, experience
that gives her unique insight into what new managers need to succeed in today’s workplace.
Through The Etiquette Trainer by Salazar Consulting, Summer delivers modern etiquette,
leadership behavior, and communication trainings that help emerging leaders build confidence,
executive presence, and people-centered skills. Her background in employer partnerships,
talent development, and leadership and adult education directly informs her teaching in this
program, where she focuses on preparing new managers to navigate diverse teams, lead with
professionalism, and create strong first impressions as they step into leadership roles. Summer
is known for her practical, inclusive, and highly engaging teaching style that helps new
managers immediately apply what they learn.
She holds an M.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Organization, Workforce,
and Leadership Studies from Texas State University and a B.A. in English and Communication
Arts from St. Mary’s University.
