Bio

Chelsea Gaspard is a New Orleans native. She is excited to join the Office of Professional & Continuing Studies (PACS) at Loyola University to help individuals and organizations identify their training needs, identify workforce funding & grant opportunities, create customized training, and improve the overall quality of life through learning.

Prior to Loyola, Chelsea worked as the Grants Manager for New Horizons Computer Learning Center managing Incumbent Worker Training Program (IWTP) training grants for industries in the state of Louisiana in partnership with the Louisiana Workforce Commission. She was able to assist businesses by building custom training programs for their employees which aided in retention, promotions, wage increases, and jobs created. More recently, Chelsea served as the Talent Development Specialist for the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. This role gave her invaluable experience in training & administrative tasks including populating and delivering a daily newsletter, transferring historical training data to a new Learning Management System, and maintaining employee compliance records. Throughout her career, Chelsea has trained employees from front-line to executive team members with on-the-job training, new hire orientation, customer service, and standard operating procedures.

With her background in grants management and talent development, Chelsea hopes to align our PACS training programs with workforce funding, including the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), the Incumbent Worker Training Program (IWTP), and the Small Business Employee Training (SBET) to ensure individuals find meaningful employment and organizations can upskill and retain employees.
